At LdV we are off to a great start with a healthy, mind, body and heart!  Whether you do laps in the morning with the Da Vinci Dashers, join the after-school Run Club, or run in a community fun run, you have fun opportunities to develop your healthy habits.

Running engages your core muscles and stabilizes your hips. Having a strong core helps you with balance and stability in everyday activities.

Build Bone Density

Running is a weight-bearing exercise that builds bone density. Did you know up to 90 percent of your bone density is acquired by the age of 18? Invest in your bone health!

Running and brisk walking help your heart, lungs, and vascular system work effectively and efficiently.
